"Rejected"

He [Jesus] came unto His own and they received Him not. Promised from Genesis chapter 3, foretold of Moses, prophetically promised by the Prophets, of whom were killed, Jesus came to save His own (Israel and the Gentiles-as promised by God to Abraham), because of agape-non emotional, unconditional love. This love and sacrifice was and is rejected by Israel and Gentile people alike. Hear Jesus' words about His heart for His people, yet they rejected Him still:
Luke 13:34 (KJV) "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not!"
