Application of the New built Upon the Foundation of the Old In Agreement

Application of the New built Upon the Foundation of the Old In Agreement

Only one mention of law, and it is dually attached in the same verse as dealing with David mercifully according to the Word of God, His precepts and righteous judgments located within the Word of God and David's zeal for learning and understanding the heart of them. Like the heart of the matter when Christ gave credence and heart to hate=murder, lust in the inward man=fornication and adultery, and in the same passage David saw His hope in the Word of God, and Liberty in the law of God...hope in God's Word. Liberty, quickening, salvation and hope in God's precepts, Word, and judgments:
"35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear....
39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts." (Psalm 119:35-45 KJV) David, the man after God's own heart.

"21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
(James 1:21-27 KJV)

Love in Christ, Jason
