Which part of the Kingdom will you be in?
Matthew 5: 1-19
Jesus
5 "And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10-19
Notice to whom Jesus is speaking to. " he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them..." Disciples. Okay, what does disciple mean? Webster's defines disciple as:
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Notice to whom Jesus is speaking to. " he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them..." Disciples. Okay, what does disciple mean? Webster's defines disciple as:
1
: one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another: as
a : one of the twelve in the inner circle of Christ's followers according to the Gospel accounts
b : a convinced adherent of a school or individual
Okay that's in English, American English to more accurate. Let us look at the word Jesus used for disciple: Strong's: 3129
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20
So it is safe to say, if we are truly God's son or daughter, and we are continuing in the Vine (John 15) He is speaking to us. How do we know this? Look at verses of the second greatest Sermon Jesus ever preached, the Beatitudes. Notice the references to the Kingdom of Heaven from the King of Glory Himself.
Okay see the promise of blessings? If we follow His teachings as Christians we are even more blessed in the Kingdom to come. What is the opposite of a blessing?
Accursed is the first antonym listed for blessing. Accursed to be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. I can live with that, it isn't oppressive or legalistic. To lose a blessing from Jehovah God would be a horrible thing. We must remember, this is to those of who are saved. No condemnation, no Hell, but tears Beloved, tears. How do we know this? Jesus spoke this promise to we the regenerated,
"3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:3-4 of the scene in New Jerusalem. He is going to wipe away tears. There will be one last set of tears shed for the Believer. Could it be for the things we did under the liberty of grace? Could be the things we did not do? Could it be that Monday morning attitude towards family, coworkers, fellow students, the store clerk. Could it be the overwhelming silence when we don't speak out against injustice and sin? Could it be idle words and thoughts. The second glance oh child of Christ, that is taken at the opposite sex who isn't our spouse. These are just a few. Remember what Jesus says in the above in Matthew 5? Go back and look Beloved. Keep in mind we are not bound to sacrificial or ceremonial law, Jesus fulfilled them. Jesus is speaking of the moral law and its application by grace which empowers us to escape temptation. But how? By the very Word of God. I saw a very disheartening statement last night, from a professing child of Christ, "we should have no sin awareness..." I have no Idea in the Bible where this precept, doctrine is taught. But Jesus says the exact opposite, the Holy Spirit through Paul says the opposite. The same with Peter, James and John. Beloved it boils down to this. Are you a disciple, do you apply the Words of Jesus to your walk, your life, your sphere of influence? If so, then you will hear, "Well done thy good and faithful servant. If not, you will be the least of these in the kingdom of Heaven. Please share with the Saints, Love in Christ Jason.
1) to learn, be apprised
a) to increase one's knowledge, to be increased in knowledge
b) to hear, be informed
c) to learn by use and practice
1) to be in the habit of, accustomed to
Now that has more "meat" to it. So Jesus is speaking to 11 of the 12 who believed upon Him for salvation. So is He now speaking to the true regenerated soul of the child of Christ. He calls us to discipleship in His teachings.
"19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20
