He became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word-LOGOS, and the Word was with God-LOGOS, and the Word-LOGOS was God-ELOHIM.

LOGOS-word, spoken or written, often with a focus on the content of a communication ; matter, thing. The Word is a title of Christ (Jn 1:1), emphasizing his own deity and communication of who God is and what he is like

2 The same was in the beginning with God-ELOHIM.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

[1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:1-5 KJV]

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness (SIN-EVIL-DEATH); and the darkness ( SIN-EVIL-DEATH) comprehended it not. REFER BACK TO GENESIS 1:2-5

[3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.] (Genesis 3:1-5 KJV)

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light(LIFE), that all men through him might believe.

Prophecy of John The Baptist And The Comfort of The Redeemer 753 B.C.
[40 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins.
3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.] (Isaiah 40:1-5 KJV)
The Prophecy of Malachi About John The Baptist

[3 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.] (Malachi 3:1 KJV) 433 B.C.

8 He was not that Light(LIFE), but was sent to bear witness of that Light (LIFE).

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The Supremacy of Christ In Creation And His Presence With Elohim

[12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.](Colossians 1:12-17)

[2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;] (Hebrews 1:2 KJV)

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

[53 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.] (Isaiah 53:1-3 KJV) 753 B.C.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

REFER TO COLOSSIANS 1:15-16

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17 For the law CONDEMNATION AND DEATH BY SIN INHERITED FROM ADAM was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (John 1:1-18 KJV)

We have the foretaste of God in Christ, He Who was before the beginning, through Whom all things were and are created and held together, the VISIBLE IMAGE of the INVISIBLE GOD. With Him came and comes life! Light! And Truth! God came in flesh so we could somewhat understand the infinite God. He came to restore what Satan destroyed, and all this was planned before the Foundation of the world. Present and instrumental in creation, the Creator Himself would give Himself that we by faith in His GRACE, be restored to what He originally created. That is only a portion of Whom Jesus is!

My Word Shall Not Fade Away

My Word Shall NOT Fade Away

"4 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

4 But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people." (Deuteronomy 4:1-6 KJV)

Introduction- Beloved of our Father, and friends who hear this teaching, it is no coincedence that Providence hath dictated you should be here to hear and read the words of this teaching. I humbly admit to you personally, this was preched to me, through the Word of God, interpreted in the grace and power of the Holy Spirit, and pierced my heart for a season now. So much so, as to become a daily, nightly, and even sleep awakening burning in the mind and bones of a man is the least worthy of God's love, mercy, grace, and attention. In Myrick vernacular, this has been preached to me for over nine months by various men of God, but more importantly the all consuming Word of God Himself.

We live in a season of time, in which humanity as attempted feebly to usurp the power and glory of God, on HIS THRONE. With the advent of the "Information Age", man has been decieved into thinking he knows what's best for himself, and by default, society. Iniquity abounds, over fifty million innocent souls sacrificed to the god known as "Molech" under the redefinition of the words: TERMINATE, MURDER, and INFANTCIDE, to the less truthful terminology of abortion and then humanly justified as choice. Using this example alone, among many other redefined words of sin and iniquity, let us look at the root of this cancer, plauge, and destruction of humanity.

I.) There must be a standard or guidline to base behavior and choices upon for liberty.

You may be asking, "Why a rule, law, or standard? Isn't that a Pharisee or Legalistic approch?" I say that you are asking the wrong question. Wouldn't a more honest question be, " How is there liberty with standards and rules?" An easy and quick temporal example is this: Purpose if you could for a moment, there was no law prohibiting murder, manslaughter, assault, rape, or driving under the influence. Now, ask yourself this: "Would I be safe taking my wife to Dairy Queen? MacDonald's? Walmart? School?" No you wouldn't my friend, because you have lost the liberty to do so. Am I wrong? Of course not!

II.) What standard is the most truthful and trustworthy to apply and heed?

A.) "5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5-6 KJV) Here we see a pure Word, every Word of God is PURE! Not just John 3:16. Not Just Ephesians 2:8-9. Not Just the 23rd Psalm! God said All.

B.) "In the beginning Elohim (God) said..." (Genesis 1:1 KJV) I present the very first Word spoken to humanity, upon which that which wasn't, became so! That is AUTHORITY for the Word of God being PURE!

C.) That was written in antiquity, it's Old Testament, that doesn't apply to the church age and dispensation of grace most say. HMMMMMM! Really now?

"6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." (Isaiah 40:6-8 KJV) Here we see what God says about His Word, it endures FOREVER. The same can not be said for trees, flowers, grass, or flesh. A great example would be Isaiah! Almost three thousand years ago God penned this through him, and Isaiah physically died, BUT, BUT, the Word of God is presented to you right now, yes, its still here!

D.) Let us transition with a passage the Word (Logos) Jesus spoke and speaks Himself to remove the fallacy that Old Testament passages don't count under grace. In this passage, the adversary Satan, father of all lies, twisted the scripture in an attempt to appeal to Christ as a man. He uses an Old Testament passage to try, yet a feeble attempt it was.

"4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:1-4 KJV)

The Son of God, the Word Himself, defeated the tempter with what? The Word of God! Not the New Testament either, it was an Old Testament passage! All the Word of God is relevant and applicable Beloved! All!

IV.) What does this mean right here and right now? How does this have anything to do with me? Friends, in today's society, it has more than you can possibly imagine. Consider this example: Marriage. Marriage defined by God, translated and applied in its original English meaning perfectly as God intended, in king's English, or "proper English." Oh but brother Jason this has changed over the last four hundred years, words and meanings change. Stop right there! The original intent of the word GOD CHOSE IS STILL WHAT HE INTENDED IT TO BE.

a.) Proverbs 30:6 KJV- "6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." God did NOT change His Word! News flash Beloved man changed it! According to God, man is a liar. Think back to Genesis 3. Who else twisted and changed scripture? Satan. Who else added to what God said? Eve. See the pattern? Nothing new under the sun, as God says in the Book of Ecclesiastes.

b.) We are saved by the Word of God, our faith comes by the hearing of the Word of God, and we are instructed and protected by the Word of God! Jesus IS THE WORD of GOD! "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men." (John 1:1-4 KJV)

We trust Jesus for our salvation, for our eternal destination, so that means we place all faith and confidence in Him and His Word. Suppose the illogical and impossible for a moment. IF, IF God changed is Word, or meanings of His Word, then how could you trust salvation, heaven, and the verse (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)? How would you be able to come to faith in Christ? Endure till the end? Worship God the Father in heaven?

c.) A final warning about messing with the Word of God, with finding "better translations" that allow me to make my own choices without consequences. (Revelation 22:18-19 KJV) - "18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Stern and straight forward are the introductory verse in Deuteronomy, and here in the last chapter of the Bible, and two of the last four verses of the Bible.

Conclusion: Who are you listening to? ARE YOU READING POST KING'S ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS? Are you reading the man twisted translations such as NIV, HCSB, Amplified, or the Message Bible? Christian, if you are, please place it on a back shelf of a forgotten row of books. Take the KJV and treasure it!

You may be here and lost, unredeemed, a child of wrath destined for condemnation, BUT Jesus is waiting, waiting for you! Choose now whom you will serve. Choose Christ and live!

"Did God Really Say?"

"Did God Really Say?"

3  "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."  (Genesis 3:1-5 KJV)

The beginning of the fall of man, the imputing of spiritual death in humanity, and the future dying of humanity from changing God's Word and the consequences of doing this is clearly described by God Himself in His own Word.  That is the authority of the Word, and not my naturalistic opinion, my fallen intellect, or my fallen flesh emotions (how I feel about the passage matters nothing to the Truth God speaks.)  Satan, deceptive, fallen, and miserable includes man in his fall, for he was once a being who was the most beautiful of a creation himself, in the presence of God himself just like Adam and Eve.  Sin or choosing to do what God forbids, always has its price.  For Adam and Eve it was spiritual death, expulsion from paradise, and the most horrible of all, an expulsion from the presence of God:
"22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." (Genesis 3:22-24KJV)

Okay Beloved, let's look at some things about what God and His Son the Savior says about the fall of Satan, which helped contribute to the fall of humanity, the deception that hinders a soul from salvation, hinders a Christian from temporal victories in his flesh, which is still fallen, dying, and at war with God, and the precepts of God's Word:
"18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18 KJV) [Written in Greek, as to remove doubt, from those who would scream it only applies to Hebrew people.]  Now an Old Testament verse from God: "
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet." (Isaiah 14:12-19 KJV) Here in the first passage Jesus reminds of His authority and deity that He saw what God said and says In Isaiah 14.  That fall brought about the fall of humanity, and it was subtle, it was slick, and it was strategic in its inception.  So much so, in the same discourse, Eve adds her own twist, words and opinion to what God said and says.  Remember this discourse?  "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"  SATAN aka DEVIL aka ENEMY aka ADVERSARY.  Get the premise?  Pretty simple and scriptural fact!  Now Beloved, Eve, she grasps hold of this fallacy and false devilish doctrine, by lust of the eye, and pride of life. Pride like that which is the root of all sin, pride like that the cast Satan from heaven, and according to God, through Isaiah, is the killer that is set against you Christian and has part ownership in humanity's current condition.

The whole premise of this introduction is this, since Eve, humanity has always tried to interpret, misquote, "Find a better suited translation, a better humanistic acceptable translation [TO ACCOMADATE LIFE DECISIONS THAT ARE IN OPPOSITION TO DISCIPLESHIP LIVING, CHRIST IMITATING, AND GOD PRESCRIBLED PLANS FOR HUMANITY, FOR HUMANITY'S BEST AND MOST ABUNDANT REWRDING LIFE!]  Friend this is no different from what Eve did!  Or maybe it could be considered worse, such as grace being used to excuse the same thing Satan and Eve did.  Why we as Christians continue to improve on what God is set to endure forever, is beyond me!  Consider in Isaiah, God says "Grass dies, flowers fade; BUT the Word of the Lord will endureth forever!"  Not man's interpretation of the Word, not man's FEELING about a passage he disagrees with, because man has NO AUTHORITY to twist SCRIPTURE.  As matter of fact there are specific WARINGS! WARNINGS! WARNINGS! WARNINGS!
For what will happen to the ones who do this, the ones who do exactly what Satan did in the Garden of Eden, a passage in the Law of God by Moses, and a final warning in Revelation:  "
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."  (Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV) Not sacrificial law, nor ceremonial law, Old Testament passages that are relevant today, so relevant Jesus used Old Testament passages to reproof Satan in the Wilderness Temptations.  Are we above Christ?  NO!  A few more WARNINGS for your edification: "
"What it means is that one is not to add their own words to what God gave. Each one is a specific book that was complete that man was not to add or subtract from. The Bible is a collection of all 66 books that are of the Old and New Testament.
Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it”(also Deuteronomy 12:32). The reason God is so adamant on this is because “The entirety of Your word is truth” (Psalms 119: 160).
"Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar" Proverbs 30:6.
In our day there is the belief in progressive revelation” that originates from outside the Word. What right does anyone have to teach what is not in Scripture as if it is Scripture?  False teachers do not want to submit to its original intent, so they do not seek what Scripture actually (exegesis) means, instead, they conform it to what they want it to mean (isogesis).  They will look to another source as their authority because they are not under God’s authority. This is why Paul admonishes us in 1 Corinthians 4:6: “not to think beyond what is written” (exceed or go past). Why? So pride will not have an opportunity to operate and puff us up. It is pride that makes one participate in false doctrine which makes him spiritually destructive to himself and others who listen to him.
The reason God is so adamant on this is because “The entirety of Your word is truth” (Psalms 119: 160). Proverbs 30:5-6: “Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.”
If we look at the context it saying “Every word of God.” God is stating for MAN not to add to his words. Adding does not only mean additional words, but can also mean changing them to mean what they do not. When you add new words as equal to Scripture you are really taking away from Scripture.
In the book of Revelation which is prophecy completes the Bible, just as Genesis began the Bible, it states "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book" Revelation 22:18-19."
http://www.letusreason.org/Biblexp117.htm

Either God said it, meant it, meant to say those specific Words, without man changing the Truth to suit his fallen flesh nature which being saved, is still in play, and opposes the Spirit. (See Galatians)

If you claim verses such as John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, and Revelation 22:17 all in the original English language God meant for it to be in to English speaking people, then for those to be logically so in your claiming salvation, then use logically must accept the rest of the Word of God, or your premise is fallacy to base certain verses and discard the rest.
We need look no further than the redefinition of marriage in current society to see a current example for changing the meanings of words.  Either you believe the Bible is God's infallible Word, or you are tossed about by every wave of new teaching that arises.  Remember, the Lord said, and says His Word will endure forever, not humanities view, feeling, or social morality has any application to Truth, for humanity still lives in flesh bodies, hindered by flesh mind and emotions.  This is serious Beloved pray and consider these Truths, this is God's Word, and historical facts of what happened when not adhering to God's original intent of  The Word He has spoken, speaks and formed the universe by, the very same Word that became flesh, and DWELT AMONGS US, AND DIED ON THE CROSS, BURIED, AND AROSE.  THE GOSPEL!  Love in Christ, Jason.

As It Was In The Days Of Noah

As It Was In The Days Of Noah

"37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:37 KJV)
Now Matthew 24 is prophetic to the Hebrew nation, there is no doubt or dispute as for that is concerned. Half of the chapter has been fulfilled and the other half will be in the future days to come, and as time moves forward, and society destroys itself willingly, the time is surely coming. For the sake of "CONTRAST" and the Lord's reference to the mention of the "Days of Noah," let us look at those days in comparison to America today.
How was it in the days of Noah? What was society like before temporal punishment of those without GRACE? What parallel can be seen? "

"5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth." (Genesis 6:5-13 KJV)
Not much different than main stream America is it? The entire earth has been on a countdown since the fall, and the coming of Christ, reaffirmed that with with the "Age of Grace or Church Age." Now that the offer of God's grace is here and now, nothing is stopping or holding up God from finishing His redemption of His people, the nation of Israel, and the adopted children grafted into the family of God by grace. At any moment, a trumpet will sound! This is for certain, today we are closer than we were yesterday, and even closer than the 1st century church was. As each tick of the seconds, minutes, and hours of time click by, we get closer with each tick.
You may not be a realist, you may be one of those who were unaware as were the people of earth, ten generations removed from Adam and the Fall of Man. So let us look at a precept, a standard by which God looks at society, not just Israel but humanity. The prophet Isaiah was led to prophesy this passage:
"20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 5:20-24 KJV)
What does this have to do with us today? Well it is a standard to compare today's society, especially America with. You may be saying or thinking, "America isn't that bad." I would say, "Really? Let the facts speak for themselves." Consider these for a moment:
Four State Department employees returned to work for the United States yesterday, after being scapegoats, for the death of an Ambassador, and three other American State Department officials, that were deliberately attacked and murdered in Benghazi, Libya. No one is held accountable, and the Executive branch lied about it, yet nothing is done and nobody held responsible. Woe unto us as a people for tolerating it. Last year was the 40th year of infant murdering allowed under a judicial legislated law, and well over 50 million innocent baby human beings yes, baby human beings with little hands and feet, little fingers and toes, and souls murdered and called "CHOICE." This by itself warrants God's Hand of punishment, and makes Hitler pale in comparison by numbers of deaths, and it is legal. Woe unto us as a nation! Forty years of devaluing the human as an individual life, and you get what's been happening in Chicago, Illinois. Let us be specific for a moment. Yesterday three teenagers in Oklahoma, in the heart of America, shot an Australian college student on a student visa, a baseball player, jogging down the road. When asked, "why?" The response was, "We were bored." Woe unto us America! Last week in California, a state law was signed by their governor, which opened the door for the onslaught of wickedness. Now, a child can go in the locker room, rest room, dressing rooms of the opposite sex, based upon "HOW THEY FEEL AT THE VERY MOMENT THE CHOICE IS MADE" on which door to go through. How long before an innocent child is defiled? Woe unto the California! Woe unto us America! What else happened in the 1970's that has introduced such a wicked state of affairs in this nation? "NO CONTEST DIVORCES" were introduced in the individual states, which usurped the institution of marriage, (IN THE EYES OF SOCIETY BUT NOT GOD) and cheapened the wedding vow, so much that most just consider it a legal piece of paper, rather than the fact it is a covenant made before God, whether you are a child of God, or one of His fallen creation, still His ordained and desired plan. Let us consider "WELFARE" OF THE INDIVIDUAL STATES, where in certain states: HI, CT, MA, and the District of Columbia, a person on welfare makes more than the median income tax payer. That is theft from your fellow citizen and neighbor, and it is considered for the good of the nation, WOE UNTO YOU AMERICA!
These are just minute sliver, a micro-fraction, tiny slice of that which is called anything but what it is. EVIL. WICKEDNESS. WRONG. INJUSTICE. SIN. These are just the tip of the iceberg, when in comparison to the society in the days of Noah. So what is to be done Christian? (Self included 'me') Christians in Syria, Egypt, and many other nations on this sphere, are being persecuted at a rapid rate. Crucified in the streets and markets of Cairo, homes and buildings burned, and innocent Christians enslaved in Iran. What do we do Christians? What did Jesus say? He tells us only God the Father knows the day and time, and He also commands we carry out the "Great Commission" and not a suggestion. Israel is being pressed by the U.N. and her former allies to give away their OWN LAND! Land that has an over 5,000 year old deed to it. All in the name of man's deception of peace in the Middle East. Christians is you know your Bible, is not going to happen except for a 3.5 year Pseudo Peace Agreement until the time of Jacob's Trouble. Just some things to remind you of beloved, pray, serve, and share the Gospel! Love in Christ Jason.

The Ripple Effect

 Romans 11:22

(22) Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
New King James Version   Change Bible versions
Paul admonishes us to consider both God's goodness and severity. Both of these characteristics are part of what He is, and therefore we must respect both.
We can make the contrast between them very sharp: Until Adam and Eve sinned, they received all goodness from God. After their sin, it appears that His severity hit them immediately; they were ushered out of the Garden.
In Genesis 4, Cain sinned by killing Abel. At first, Cain received goodness from God in that he was permitted to live, but he also received severity in that he had to live as a marked vagabond.
In these two early examples, both sides of God's judgment appear, and a pattern has become especially clear: Severity results because of sin.
Whether we are immediately aware of it is not the issue. For instance, when Adam and Eve sinned, their decline into death began immediately, regardless of whether they were physically aware of any deterioration of their health. Cain immediately became a vagabond separated from his family roots. The only real difference between the carrying out of the death penalty between Adam and Eve and Nadab and Abihu is the effect God desired to create by His immediate, shocking display of severity.
We who draw near to God must know that the God we serve is to be served as a holy God—especially because He is a holy God. He permitted no opportunity for them to repent because they should have known better. The wages of sin is always death.
In the days of Noah, the goodness of God spared only eight souls, but His severity terrifyingly destroyed the remainder of humanity. In a matter of a few days, perhaps billions of people, even innocent unborn and newborn babies, died because of sin.
Following King Saul's paranoia-driven reign, God showed His goodness to Israel by raising up David, a man after His own heart, to rule over Israel. Yet, then David committed a disastrous double sin by entering into adultery with Bathsheba and deliberately bringing about the death of the loyal Uriah. God mercifully forgave the sins, but that does not mean there was no painful punishment laid on David and his family. God's severity against David and his family was hard and long. First, the son born of that illicit union died shortly after its birth. Later, David's firstborn son, Amnon, raped his own half-sister, Tamar. Tamar's brother, Absalom, seeking revenge, killed Amnon and fled from David, not seeing him for two years.
Then Absalom revolted against David in his desire to take over the throne. Absalom arrogantly proceeded to defile David's concubines in the sight of all Israel. Several thousand were killed in this revolt, and eventually, Absalom himself was killed by Joab. The family's pain did not stop even then, washing over into Solomon's reign when he put Adonijah to death because he sought political power by asking for Abishag's hand in marriage.
David was a man of blood, as God Himself mentions, but his children carried a moral cancer until death stopped them. Have we ever noticed how much deceit and illicit sex was involved in David's family's sins? God was not present in that family's life as He had once been. He could have stepped in at any time and stopped the holocaust ripping through David's family, but He did not. Living as they did, despite being the progeny of a man God greatly loved, they felt the severity of His judgments.
Deeply consider how long God's severity lasted! He did not simply let David off the hook. He had been chosen to draw near to God. Much was required of him.

The Discipline of Discipleship the Lord's COMMAND

The Discipline of Discipleship the Lord's COMMAND

Jesus

"16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."  (Matthew 28:16-20 KJV)

Now there are those Christians out there who will dispute the Word of the Lord and His command in this passage.  They will tell you this is Israel's command, they will say it doesn't apply to YOU Christian, some will even say this is fulfilled by Jesus on the cross, despite the commandment coming after the Lord's rising.  The Lord of Heaven's Armies clearly gives a command here.  Marching orders to His disciples, as clearly illustrated in verse eleven shows to whom He is addressing.  "
1.)  DISCIPLESHIP: one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another: as
a : one of the twelve in the inner circle of Christ's followers according to the Gospel accounts
b : a convinced adherent of a school or individual

Now for the LUDICROUS FALLACY, that if Jesus, IF BIG IF, was only speaking to the Hebrews, let's take a look at a Greek or Hellenistic recorded Gospel which says the SAME EXACT THING.

"46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen"  (Luke 24:46-53 KJV)
Did you notice He the Lord, Jesus, the Risen Lord preaches repentance and remission together.  And repentance being a change of mind, attitude, behavior, not just an intellectual choice to believe, but faith belief that changes the attitude, mind, and behavior of an Holy Spirit regenerated soul.  The Disciples were witnesses of this and Jesus' teachings, for three years they walked with the Master, the learned Who He is, they heard His teachings, teachings on Adultery, Greed, Pride, Anger, Hate, Murder, Divorce, Marriage, and nowhere did He teach that grace made it acceptable to willfully disobey one jot or tittle of His teachings, rather, He taught and commanded that we, as disciples (those who choose His way of living) teach others to observe His teachings.  This is the reality because of a grace changed heart, that isn't condemned position wise yet still able to sin, and yes be chastised according to the Book of Hebrews and the of' course applicable rest of the Word of God.  We are empowered by He, the Holy Spirit to make the choices Jesus did.  The problem comes when we pick and choose which parts to obey, not in any attempt to receive grace, BECAUSE OF GRACE, BECAUSE OF GRACE, BECAUSE OF GRACE.  LEST WE TRAMPLE THE SON OF GOD UNDERFOOT AND MAKE A MOCKERY OF HIS SINLESS LIFE, AND SELFLESS CRUSHING AND SACRIFICE ON GOLGOTHA.  He arose to MAKE us free, set is a bad translation, its weak and lacking, we are New Creations IN CHRIST, THEREFORE, we are MADE free.
Again, here is another account, again by the doctor, Luke who wrote both of his accounts descriptively as to leave no room for debate.  In the following passage, in Acts chapter 1, notice the words command.  Again speaking to His disciples, again to tarry for He, the Holy Spirit, to EMPOWER the child of God, In Christ, to obey His commands post salvation.  This is not legalism, this is obeying a command of Jesus, POST SALVATION, ACCOUNTABILITY, WITNESSES, CONSECRATION, SET APART, AND PHYSICAL AND TEMPORAL HOLINESS, NOT JUST POSITIONAL.

"1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."  (Acts 1:1-11 KJV)
Let me put this in simple human, 2013 jargon.  As a former soldier, and a Marine I understand the doctrine of discipline.  At boot camp, in Marine boot camp, everything is done purposefully too instill a discipline, a obedience to commands, to function as designed.  We learned to do close order drill (marching with weapons) to obey orders on command, instill unity, brotherhood, mission completion.  Things ranging from how we held our trays at chow, to how we held the cup at chow, how we scrubbed the deck (floor) were all designed for this purpose.  Not for killjoy, not for displeasure, but for Esprit De Corps or UNITY.  This unity is an allegory to the phileo that every true Christian shares with other Christians.  A Marine from Parris Island, can be placed in a platoon or unit with other Marines of varying years of service, from Parris Island or San Diego, without a hesitation march the same and obey the same commands on the same timing.  Imagine church, if we Christians would be disciplined in the Word of God, the COMMANDS OF JESUS, THE WORD HIMSELF, THE POWER THE CHURCH WOULD UNIFIED WOULD UNLEASH AGAINST THE GATES OF HELL!  Love in Christ, Jason!

Afterlife

The first law, also known as Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy can not be created or destroyed; it can only be redistributed or changed from one form to another.  This is a scientific "law" which has been proven by many scientist, physicists, and such.  Now let us talk about the human brain, and what humanity has discovered in the last century, as for the "functioning" operation of the brain, the part of our body, that seats our will, cognitive will that chooses, seats our personality and regulates our thinking, speech, reading, sight, and our interaction with the world outside the human body.  The part that makes me Jason Bryant, and the part that make you who you are.

What are nerve impulses?

"A nerve impulse is an electrical signal that travels along an axon. There is an electrical difference between the inside of the axon and its surroundings, like a tiny battery. When the nerve is activated, there is a sudden change in the voltage across the wall of the axon, caused by the movement of ions in and out of the neuron. This triggers a wave of electrical activity that passes from the cell body along the length of the axon to the synapse."

How do nerve impulses code information?

Nerve impulses are a way of coding information, in a similar way to FM radio, allowing information to be transmitted both quickly and accurately. Each impulse is the same size so it is the frequency that carries information about the intensity of the signal. For example, as you turn up the dimmer switch on your bedroom light, the size of the nerve impulses from your eye stays the same but the rate at which they are generated increases.

Now let use go back to the original definition the human soul in the Bible.  H5314 Strong's give's soul from Genesis' definition of the what God said: " soul, self, life, creature, person, appetite, mind, living being, desire, emotion, passion
a) that which breathes, the breathing substance or being, soul, the inner being of man
b) living being
c) living being (with life in the blood)
d) the man himself, self, person or individual
e) seat of the appetites
f) seat of emotions and passions
g) activity of mind"
Now let us look at another Biblical definition for soul: G5590-psyche:
1) breath
a) the breath of life
1) the vital force which animates the body and shows itself in breathing
a) of animals
b) of men
b) life
c) that in which there is life
1) a living being, a living soul
2) the soul
a) the seat of the feelings, desires, affections, aversions (our heart, soul etc.)
b) the (human) soul in so far as it is constituted that by the right use of the aids offered it by God it can attain its highest end and secure eternal blessedness, the soul regarded as a moral being designed for everlasting life
c) the soul as an essence which differs from the body and is not dissolved by death (distinguished from other parts of the body).

Now Christian, we KNOW where the soul goes when the flesh dies.  Those of us saved, well... we go to the Father, which is in line with the laws of thermodynamics.  Though man has recently discovered (last century) the operation of the brain, God already told us where the seating house of the soul goes, the electrical impulses, the energy, the soul must go somewhere. Science has only given description to what God has already said thousands of years ago.  Love in Christ, Jason.

The Beauty of The Rose Garden

The Beauty of The Rose Garden

For the child of God in Christ, we are not promised a "rose garden" well... yes we are in a way. Roses are beautiful to the smell and sight, yet to the touch they can pierce the body, by the thorns that follow up the stem to the beautiful blossom. So in the beauty of the "rose garden" there is pain or always the possibility of pain. Beside the Man of Sorrows, Isaiah, and Jeremiah, King David was well experienced in the trials, pain, distress, loneliness, disappointment, death of sons, brother (Jonathan), betrayal of a King he was faithful to. David a faithful servant of God, a man after God's heart, faced spiritual battles, and David was successful, and David made mistakes, but David's position did NOT make him immune to the battles of this life. Christian, lonely parent, divorced spouse, widower and widow, you understand all too clearly David's woes, and Jesus understands them too. He carried them all to the cross, the full weight causing Him to cry out, " My God...My God...Why hast Thou forsaken me?" I speak FROM EXPERIENCE of having a soon to be decade of hard, difficult battles, but they were always the most painful and difficult when I tried to stand on my own, they became light and lighter as I fell own my knees and cried out. Here is a passage for when the flesh (EMOTIONS and ATTITUDES) start screaming in your head:
"144 Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
3 Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword." (Psalms 144:1-10 KJV)  Love in Christ, Jason

Jesus Teaches On Marriage and Divorce

Jesus Teaches On Marriage And Divorce

Jesus

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers
God will judge. - Hebrews 13:4 (KJV)

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to
put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you,
Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry
another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit
adultery. - Matthew 19:8-9 (KJV)

Before proceeding to answer the questions below, let me lay out some fundamental
biblical principles that relate to questions concerning divorce and remarriage.

Principle #1

Marriage is a Divine institution that is honorable among all people (whether, Jew
or Gentile, believer or unbeliever) according to Hebrews 13:4. Thus, if the civil
magistrate wickedly redefines what God declares to be a lawful marriage (e.g. same-sex
"marriage"), or tyrannically redefines what God declares to dissolve a marriage
(e.g. divorce upon the ground of "irreconcilable differences"), such civil laws
are null and void.

Principle #2

Although Christians are commanded not to be unequally yoked and although to do so
is a grievous sin (1 Corinthians 7:39), nevertheless, the union of a believer and
unbeliever (or a union of two unbelievers) does not make a marriage null and void
(1 Corinthians 7:12-13).

Principle #3

It is not a lawful "second marriage" that is contracted (but rather an unlawful
and adulterous relationship), when a previous lawful marriage has not been dissolved
upon scriptural grounds (Matthew 5:32; Matthew 19:9; Mark 10:11-12).

Principle #4

When a previous lawful marriage is dissolved upon scriptural grounds, a lawful second
marriage may be contracted upon scriptural grounds (Deuteronomy 24:1-4).

Principle #5

The biblical grounds upon which a marriage may be lawfully dissolved (thus allowing
a lawful remarriage) are the following: (1) Death (Romans 7:2-3); (2) Fornication
(Matthew 5:32; Matthew 19:9); (3) Willful Desertion that cannot be remedied (1 Corinthians
7:15).

Principle #6

When civil magistrates overturn Divine institutions (like marriage), it is the duty
of church courts not to comply with such wicked laws, but to uphold the institutions
that God has established and to render ecclesiastical judgments to individuals,
couples, and families that are soundly based upon God's Law (Mark 7:9).

Upon the basis of these biblical principles, I proceed to answer the following questions.
It should be noted that in the responses below, the term "lawful" means "scripturally
lawful" i.e.  agreeable to the Law of God as revealed in Holy Scripture.

Question #1

If Spouse A pursues and obtains a civil divorce that has no biblical grounds, is
Spouse A considered (by God) to be committing adultery in all future sexual relations?

Greg Price's Response

If Spouse A pursues and obtains a civil divorce that has no biblical grounds, there
is no lawful dissolution of the marriage according to Scripture. Spouse A (being
the guilty party in obtaining an unlawful civil divorce) has no biblical right
to dissolve the marriage; therefore, the bonds of marriage lawfully continue. Any
sexual relations outside of that marriage (on the part of Spouse A or Spouse B)
are adulterous in nature, because the marriage has not been lawfully dissolved on
biblical grounds.

However, a lawful dissolution of the marriage occurs if Spouse A or Spouse B should
die. Moreover, a lawful dissolution of the marriage may occur if Spouse B (being
the innocent party, who did not consent to the unlawful civil divorce) obtains
through the ecclesiastical court a judicial ruling that recognizes sincere attempts
to have been made over a period of time to urge Spouse A to return to the marriage
(yet without success), and that rules that Spouse A has deserted Spouse B (without
remedy). Then Spouse B may seek an "ecclesiastical judgment" that recognizes the
dissolution of the marriage on the biblical ground of a desertion that cannot be
remedied. In which case, since the marriage is now lawfully dissolved on biblical
grounds, either party may be lawfully remarried.

In addition, if Spouse A after separating from Spouse B or divorcing Spouse B (without
biblical grounds) should engage in sexual relations, this is adultery (for the marriage
has not been lawfully dissolved), and this also becomes a ground for a lawful divorce
and remarriage, which Spouse B may likewise pursue with an ecclesiastical court.

Question #2

Would this remain the case if Spouse A gets married again (in the eyes of the state)
to someone other than the spouse B who was unlawfully (in the eyes of God, according
to the Bible) divorced through a civil divorce?

Greg Price's Response

It would yet be the case that Spouse A was committing adultery (even if a civil
divorce is obtained), for without biblical grounds (namely, death, fornication,
or willful desertion that cannot be remedied), a divorce is unlawful, null, and
void. Since the marriage is not dissolved upon biblical grounds, any sexual relations
outside of that marriage between Spouse A and Spouse B are adulterous sexual relations.

Question #3

If spouse A repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, at a future date, and
becomes a Christian (if spouse A was not a Christian previously), would a new marriage
(in the eyes of the state) then be lawful in the eyes of the Lord -- or would spouse
A still be considered to be committing adultery on an ongoing basis (even though,
according to the state, spouse A would be considered as being married a second time)?

Greg Price's Response

Marriage is neither constituted nor dissolved based upon the state of a person's
soul, for marriage between a man and a woman is honorable among all people (Hebrews
13:4). There are indeed biblical grounds upon which a marriage is lawfully constituted
(whether one is a believer or unbeliever), and there are biblical grounds upon which
a marriage is lawfully dissolved (whether one is a believer or unbeliever). Since
marriage is a Divine institution for all human beings (regardless of the state of
their soul), the same Divine regulations apply to believer or unbeliever alike (whether
in regard to lawfully establishing a marriage or lawfully dissolving a marriage).
Thus, if Spouse A becomes a Christian, a new "marriage" (even one that the civil
courts would recognize) would still be an adulterous relationship, if the previous
lawful marriage between Spouse A and Spouse B has not been lawfully dissolved.

Question #4

If the second marriage noted above is not lawful in the eyes of the Lord, would
a new Christian be required to get a divorce to avoid further adultery? If not,
why not?

Greg Price's Response

If the lawful marriage between Spouse A and Spouse B has not been lawfully dissolved,
they are yet lawfully married. A "second marriage"(even one that the civil courts
would recognize) is then not lawful, but is adulterous. If the "second marriage"
(between Spouse A and Spouse C) was hypothetically to be considered a lawful marriage
without having lawfully dissolved the marriage between Spouse A and Spouse B, Spouse
A would then be married to Spouse B and to Spouse C at the same time (a clear violation
of Mark 10:11-12). Thus, as long as the actual, lawful marriage between Spouse A
and Spouse B remains, there cannot be a lawful marriage between Spouse A and Spouse
C. Consequently, the "second marriage" cannot continue, because it is not a lawful
marriage, but is rather an adulterous relationship. In order for there to be a lawful
second marriage constituted on biblical grounds, one of the two following possible
scenarios must occur: (1) Death to one of the spouses would dissolve the previous
lawful marriage; (2) Spouse B (the innocent party in the actual lawful marriage)
must lawfully dissolve the marriage through a church court (on either the ground
of Spouse A's fornication or on the ground of Spouse A's willful desertion that
cannot be remedied).

Question #5

If the second marriage noted above is lawful in the eyes of the Lord, if Spouse
A becomes a Christian (or even if Spouse A was a backsliding Christian who repents
after a second marriage), by what biblical teaching is the new marriage considered
lawful in the eyes of the Lord, and how does Spouse A go from committing adultery
before being a Christian (or repenting, as a backsliding Christian), in the second
marriage, to not committing adultery in a second marriage?

Greg Price's Response

The "second marriage" cannot be a lawful marriage, unless one of the two scenarios
mentioned above in Question #4 occurs. Without one of the two scenarios mentioned
above being followed, the "second marriage" is not only null and void (because spouse
A cannot be lawfully married to Spouse B and Spouse C at the same time, according
to Matthew 19:5-6; 1 Corinthians 7:2), but is also an adulterous relationship (Matthew
19:9), even if the civil courts recognize the "second marriage". Why? Because the
previous lawful marriage has not been lawfully dissolved on biblical grounds established
by the God who created and instituted marriage.

Looking In The Mirror

Looking In The Mirror

James

"Therefore, to him who KNOWS to DO good and does NOT DO it, TO HIM it is a SIN." (James 4:17 KJV)

"James the half brother of Jesus, was slow to affirm the ministry of Jesus [Hebrew of all Hebrews] his controversial brother (John 7:5). Eventually he did come to believe in Him and became one of the leaders of the church at Jerusalem after Jesus' resurrection (Acts 15:13). And WHAT a leader!... Once James got IN STEP WITH JESUS' MISSION, he became zealous for righteousness. His one epistle is the most like the Old Testament prophets of ALL New Testament epistles and Gospels.

James wrote in a black and white thinker style of letter. DON"T approach James to discuss compromise or the fallible possibility of NOT DOING WHAT GOD EXPECTS. First, James says that if you KNOW what is the right thing to do but don't do it, it is a sin! (James 4:17). Second, he says if you do all the right things except one, it is the same in God's sight as having not done any of them. (James 2:10) Any questions? BUT James also appreciated the grace of God. In cases where we don't KNOW the right thing to do, he says ask God for wisdom, which God will give "liberally without reproach." (James 1:5) .

GRACE DOES NOT MEAN WE DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. NEITHER DOES IT MEAN WE CAN'T ASK TO BE SHOWN."
Donald Grey Barnhouse

"19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." (James 1:19-25 KJV)
