     We as humanity, have gotten it all wrong over the few thousand years we've been graciously allowed to dwell on Terra Firma.  As a people, we think we've progressed as time has continued on.  The reality is only the things humanity has designed and created are the only things that have progressed, the technology and innovations, but the ways of man have remained unchanged from the beginning. 

     Here in the last 100 years mankind has gone from horse drawn carriages, steam power, and the toddler age of electricity to flight at Kitty Hawk, N.C.  From flight to landing on the moon, and splitting the atom.  Yes some of man's ability of ingenuity could be said to have advantageously been beneficial to man.  It can also be said that it has not changed the inherent selfish wickedness of man in the least.  If anything it has progressed man's ability to enhance that inherent wicked DNA of humanity that is called our sinful fallen nature, proving our need for a Savior from ourselves.  Supposed "Enlightenment Age" was to change man for the better, make him civilized, sociably acceptable.  This is not so.  We have only become more effective at immorality.  We can kill with pressure cooker bombs, poisons, clubs, knives, and our own bare hands.  We can launch missiles, detonate IEDs, drink liquor and drive a car into a mini van full of innocent people.  Even worse we can murder unborn human beings in the womb, man kills innocent toddlers, abducts teenagers, and murders spouses and parents.  Yes, it can be said that we have progressed, we've gotten better at wickedness and further from any concept of morality.  We have forgotten God, and that is proven in society at large.  Murders, rapes, child abuse, perjury, adultery, divorce, homosexuality, greed, drugs, and human trafficking happening every moment and the worst thing is, we are numb and accepting of it.  A majority sits by apathetically and does nothing.  We are more concerned with the latest fad, fashion, cell phone or taking pictures of ourselves to post on social media.  Heck Instagram has been the perfection of self vanity of Social media.  It is what it is, the more selfish and self absorbed we become the deeper our depravity.  Jesus gave us the answer to this.  Die to self, and live.  Die to self and believe Him, and live!  Time is swiftly coming to an end and the choice is ours.  Will we choose self and death, or Christ and LIVE?
