Continue in Christ (the Word) and be a disciple (disciplined in His teaching) and be fruitful!

Continuing with the emphasis on the Word (Jesus) of God. Because in many circles of Christendom, yes here in Jones county, there is a false teaching that is rampantly destroying spiritual growth, sanctification, and churning out deceived hopes of salvation. Many posts, tweets, and comments on Facebook have clearly demonstrated this. Some of these are, "the Old Testament is irrelevant, another is the book of Romans gives me all I need to know, and another is I'm under grace...so I can shack up with my lover, I can be gay, I can worship at home, or in the deer stand better than I can with a Bible teaching teacher and pastor." Friends, I give you Christ words here: John 15:6-14 "6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
If ye abide in me, and my Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Fat...her glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
If ye keep my commandments (Word), ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments (Word), and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is my commandment (Word), That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command (Word) you." Don't mistake me friends, we are under grace (those of us truly regenerated) and that grace increases a desire to know the Word, not just Romans, not just easy loophole verses, but those difficult ones we can't obey like, loving our enemies (Jesus said) or having NO other gods before me (God in the Old Testament), and my favorite..."Thou shall not covet, nor shall though commit adultery." God, Old Testament. Yes grace saves, and grace brings us into submission to be sanctified into Christ's very own image. Notice, Jesus didn't shack up, He wasn't homosexual, He wasn't an adulterer, He wasn't a liar, He is the complete Word (Logos) of God. Stop twisting, and loop holing scripture and see God's manifested power in your life over sin. There is no other way than Jesus (the Word)!
