The Eventual Danger Of Pulling Back From Fellowship With God's People (Ecclesia-church)

The Eventual Danger Of Pulling Back From Fellowship With God's People (Ecclesia-church)

Hebrews 10:19-39 KJV

     We, myself included can glean from the following passage, the deadly outcome of growth in Christ likeness, sanctification, and becoming more alive in the Spirit, instead of fulfilling the old man-old woman which Christ so selflessly sacrificed Himself to empower us to be rid of.  Notice from verses 19 to 21 we see the privilege and expectation of the once and COMPLETE offered sacrifice of THE PERFECT HIGH PRIEST, Prophet, and KING of kings.  These three following verse need absolutely no commentary.  The are self proclaimed and evident Truth as is ALL the Bible, both Covenants:

"19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;"

"22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

     The illustration of the roses are picture perfect results of not being in fellowship, edification, corporate worship, and iron sharpening iron NON-family, but spiritual Christian family that doesn't favor and justify your behavior because of their earthly human fallen nature love for you.  In a true biblical church family, you are challenged by Truth, Spirit, and witness of fellow Believers who pull no punches because they love you spiritually and challenge you biblically and do not condone your behavior because of they are your earthly sibling, grandchild, or spouse that loves you humanly and takes sides to justify your behavior.  Let us be honest for a moment, humanly we are flawed.  When we are apart doing Christianity on our own, we get flawed.  It is just the way it is.  One, we are disobedient when we forsake the assembly together, and that's called SIN and it manifests itself in impatience PRIDE, and is always determinable with such statements as: "I never get to go anywhere..."  "Nobody cares about me."  or selfish statements about self!  Why?  Why manifest in such ways?  Because YES!  Ding, ding, ding, ding, winner...winner... chicken dinner!  You are out of fellowship!  Let us look at the next verses that follow and see what happens with continued CHOICE to not go corporately fellowship, tithe, praise, and worship the living God.  We place ourselves on our own throne.

"27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward."

     Fear, worry, doubt, troubles consume our thoughts and emotions, and guess what?  We lash out, we are unsatisfied, we hurt our loved ones, hinder the best for them, and yes oppose God's will in their lives.  Hmmmm.  Sounds a little adversary like doesn't it?  Adversary= Satan.  All from being out of fellowship.  Chances are Beloved if we are out of fellowship with the church, we are definitely backslidden from God.  And are NOT doing His will!  And we bemoan why everything and everyone is grieving us.  Truth be known, you already know where you are and where God is!  He is where you chose to walks away from Him at.  You will make excuse after excuse to not corporately gather with the Saints, this is called rationalizing and searching for a justification of doing so, I know I was a pro at this.  If you want to corporately gather with the church, God's people will make a way for you to be there, by His glorious might and Spirit.  What is your excuse now?

36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."

     These passages above reaffirm the dangers of choosing to pull back from fellowship with Yahweh and the Saints.  We are talking about fellowship Beloved, NOT CONDEMNATION and relationship which is not lost.  But a relationship can be miserable on our part when we don't put forth the effort into it.  Jesus never ceases His half of it, it is always on us when it falls weary.  That Beloved is a fact.  Search yourself in light of God's Word, and you will be convicted, if you come down off your throne!  IF!  Please share with the Beloved.  Love in Christ, Jason.
