Day 9 The East Gate And The Return of The King

Nehmiah 3:28

Yaweh, El Shaddai, Yeshua

"29 After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his house. After him repaired also Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate." (Nehemiah 3:28)

The Eat Gate, the gate triumphant in two separate times of human history, one past and the one which is to come. A little back ground of the location, meaning and significance of the gates to begin with. JESUS KING OF KINGS. JESUS KING OF JEWS. JESUS THE PRINCE OF PEACE. A king in reign, of a nation, of antiquity past, Hebrew custom wise, Middle Eastern mindset, or even later in history embarked upon his steed to do battle with the enemy. Jesus as PRINCE of Peace entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday on the back of a donkey colt, a symbol of a king, the King on a mission of peace. Let us see the passage reaffirming this: "2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. 4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. 6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. 10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee." (Matthew 21:2-11)

The East Gate, in location in front of the Temple, in geographic location near the King's Palace, near the Horse Gate faces East towards the Mount of Olives. Where Jesus was very intimately acquainted with. He rode into Jerusalem, as the Prince of Peace, God's Olive Branch to humanity, opening the Sheep Gate for the sheep for their salvation. Under the loudest of admiration and praises did he enter. Palm braces and cloaks laid upon the Jerusalem dust, preparing the way of the King. He would be crowned King of the entire know world in less than a week as a sign on a cursed tree, would state in Greek, Hebrew and Latin... "King of the Jews" to the protest of Hebrew elite, yet Pilate would leave it for he understood Jesus' truth of, "I AM He." when questioned. "If one were to stand on the Mount of Olives he could look over this Eastern Gate into the huge area presently north of the Dome of the Rock and see all the gates (at different levels) in a perfect line: the East Gate --Outer Court Gate --Inner Court Gate --Temple Entrance.
According to prophecy the Messiah would enter Jerusalem from the east. The East Gate holds a special holiness for Jews, who believe that the Sheckinah or Divine Presence used to appear through this gate and will appear again In the meantime it is believed it must be left untouched.
The Arab Muslims call this gate The Mercy Gate and according to the Koran, the just will pass through this gate on the Day of Judgment.
This East Gate is the only one of the eight gates in Jerusalem that is sealed. The Arabs believe that because the Jews expect their Messiah to come through this gate, they would prevent any possibility of His return. It was sealed up in 1530 AD, by the Ottoman Turks. A cemetary was planted in front of it, with the thinking being that the Jewish Messiah could not set foot into a cemetary (THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FROM THEIR SLUMBRT, SO THE CEMETARY IS NAUGHT, AND HE FULFILLED THE LAW SO.... MOOT POINT) , and therefore wouldn't arrive.
Many believe that the gate was shut to prevent the entrance of the Messiah as foretold by Old Testament Prophecies. However, we see that Ezekeiel prophecied the shutting of the gate around 600 BC

Let us now look at the prophetic scriptures that solidify the King, and the East Gate.

"44 Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. 2 Then said the Lord unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. 3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same." Ezekiel 44:1-3

"2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.mnn6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one."

"16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh." Revalation 19:16-21

As we see, from the many gates, the Sheep Gate that began the entrance to Jerusalem, to the Temple, to the Good Shepherd led us to the Fish Gate where we recieved teachings, and a plan and command from the Good Shephered, Who showed us the paths He ordained for us to walk via the Old Gate, and other gates unto the Horse Gate, near the King's palace, and Temple. Then we came unto the East Gate, the Victory Gate, the one Christ first entered on Palm Sunday to accomplish the Old Path, plan and purpose God had for Him. Beloved, repair your gates, have them functional for He is coming, and the true Saints with Him. This time not as a lowly baby birth to a virgin in the shepherd town of Bethlehem, but from the East on a White Stallion as conquering KING of kings, with His Army of Saints. Will you be in that Army? Repair your gates, and enter the Sheep Gate and say yes!!!! Please share with the Saints! Love in Christ Jason
